Metro Poetry House Club (MPHC), fondly known with the brand name “Naija Poetry Fest (NPF)”, is a registered non-profit literary and cultural organization dedicated to advancing poetry as a powerful instrument for education, creativity, cultural preservation, leadership, and social transformation.
Officially registered in Nigeria as an Incorporated Trustee, the organization exists to nurture literary excellence, empower creative voices, preserve African heritage, and foster meaningful dialogue through the arts.

At the heart of Metro Poetry House Club is Naija Poetry Fest (NPF), our flagship brand and annual literary festival commemorating World Poetry Day (21 March). More than a festival, Naija Poetry Fest is a movement that celebrates the transformative power of words, bringing together poets, writers, educators, students, publishers, performers, and lovers of literature from across Nigeria and beyond. It is where language, culture, and creativity converge to celebrate Nigeria’s rich literary heritage while inspiring new generations of storytellers.
As the umbrella organization, Metro Poetry House Club coordinates a growing network of literary initiatives that engage communities through festivals, conferences, educational programs, school outreaches, digital platforms, and international collaborations. Together, these initiatives are building one of Africa’s most dynamic and inclusive literary ecosystems, creating opportunities for learning, expression, cultural exchange, and artistic excellence.
In addition to our main community platform, we maintain several specialized teams responsible for the smooth functioning and growth of our initiatives:
- Media Team – Handles content creation, photography, videography, and digital production
- Event Team – Manages logistics, coordination, and execution of all physical and virtual events
- Publicity Team – Oversees public relations, promotions, and media outreach
- Admin Team – Ensures governance, communication, and administrative support across all activities
