Our annual festival, Naija Poetry Fest features a captivating poetry slam, a thrilling talent show showcasing diverse skills, and other engaging side attractions. It’s truly a gathering of diverse talents and perspectives. The festival holds on March 21 every year in commemoration of World Poetry Day. Our maiden edition in 2024 brought together the brightest talents within and beyond the academic and literary communities in Lagos at The Glass House Hall, Faculty of Education, University of Lagos (UNILAG), Akoka, Yaba, Lagos, on Thursday, March 21, 2024, with the theme: Unleashing the Spellbinding Power of Spoken & Penned Words.
Naija Poetry Fest (NPF) 2.0 (2025 edition)
Naija Poetry Fest 2.0 is BIGGER AND BETTER! In 2024, we unleashed the spell-binding power of the spoken and penned words at the University of Lagos, this year, in collaboration with Alliance Francaise Lagos, we’re glad to announce NPF 2.0! The 2025 edition is themed: Poetry in Motion, Wheeling Round the Motion, and will hold at Alliance Francaise Lagos, Mike Adenuga Center, 9, Osborne road, Ikoyi, Lagos, on Friday, March 21, 2025 at 4PM.
It will feature a captivating poetry slam of two (2) rounds, thrilling live performances, a panel discussion, and other side attractions. The winner of the poetry slam will go home with the grand prize of N200,000, with other consolation prizes to be won by other top performers on the night.
